Our founder Kin Lek (90s boss vibes) joined our Gen Z stars, Jin Cheng and Amelia, to spill the tea on what it’s really like working across generations. We talked about everything from WhatsApp vs. email (spoiler: WhatsApp wins, emails are too formal, ugh), to how we handle feedback (some like it chill, some want it straight-up), and even why we might quit a job (toxic vibes or no growth? No thanks!).
Here’s the deal: Gen Z isn’t “lazy” — we just value different things, like work-life balance and feeling good about what we do. Kin Lek shared how 90s folks might stick it out for opportunities, while we Gen Zers are more like, “Is this job sparking joy? If not, peace out!” Meanwhile, Jin Cheng and Amelia brought the real talk about wanting clear communication and a workplace that doesn’t feel like a soap opera.
