What a great opportunities for us to join Annecy Festival & MIFA 2023 at France (12 June – 17 June) together with other 25 companies from Malaysia to form Malaysia Pavilion under Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) & Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) at Imperial Palace of Annecy! Let’s take a look back on a memorable and emotionally-charged week at the Festival and the International Animation Film Market! Despite its extended duration, the festival seemed to fly by in a whirlwind of creativity, leaving us with lasting memories and a deep emotional impact. Alongside the festival, the International Animation Film Market (MIFA) also took place, further enriching the experience for attendees. Annecy Festival 2023 boasted an impressive attendance of 15,820 accredited individuals from 102 countries, including 6,410 MIFA badge holders. This allowed for direct connections and networking opportunities with prominent figures from European and American countries, emphasizing the festival’s international reach and influence.
This is our 3rd international animation event! We are pretty well prepared for all the business networking opportunities! A total of 156 professional events provided a platform for renowned directors, CEOs, funders, and distributors to share their crucial knowledge and insights about the animation industry. We grabbed this opportunities to held business match up with more than 40 companies around the world! Special thanks to Pixar, Dreamworks, Paramounts Pictures, Cinesite, Netflix, Nickelodeon and much much more!
One of the standout aspects of Annecy 2023 was the sheer number of screenings offered. With a staggering 345 screenings, attendees were spoiled for choice, as they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a diverse range of animated films. These screenings were an excellent platform for filmmakers to showcase their works, receive feedback, and connect with industry professionals. It was truly a celebration of the artistry and innovation in the world of animation. In addition to these highlights, Annecy 2023 was a melting pot of creativity, bringing together artists, directors, producers, and animation enthusiasts from all corners of the globe. The festival acted as a catalyst for meaningful connections, as participants engaged in lively discussions, shared insights, and forged new partnerships. The power of animation as a universal language was palpable, transcending borders and fostering a sense of unity among attendees.
As we bid farewell to Annecy 2023, we reflect on the magic and inspiration it brought to our lives.
